Nicole Holofcener grew  up in New York and Los Angeles.  She  received an MA in film at Columbia University and went  on to write and direct Walking and Talking, Lovely & Amazing and Friends with Money. She directed several episodes of “Sex & The City” and “Six Feet Under” and is currently casting her new as-yet untitled film.
