The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), held in Toronto, Canada, is widely considered to be one of the top film festivals in the world. It is the premiere film festival in North America from which the Oscars race begins. It is the world's largest film festival open to the general public [1].

A lonely professor (Richard Jenkins) finds his life changed for the better when he randomly falls into the world of three illegal immigrants trying to make a life for themselves in New York City.  Writer/director THOMAS MCCARTHY (The Station Agent ) talks about his new film and his attempt to humanize the politics of the post 9/11 US Immigration system.
