Review of The Incredible HulkHULK SMASH! HULK SMASH! HULK LACKLUSTER MEDIOCRE EFFORT!Talk about living up to my lowest expectations… So remember when Ang Lee made a Hulk movie and everyone was really disappointed in him? And like they were totally dissing him? And like no one asked him to prom? He was all like “Hey I love this movie! You guys suck! I’m gonna go make a gay cowboy movie, so you can all just sit and spin!” And he did, and we did. So here we are like 15 minutes later and some genius, we'll call him Stan Lee, gets the idea to remake Ang’s movie. So he gets Zak Penn, the go to guy for writing just about any comic book movie your kids have made you sit through for the last 6 years (although I’d like to point out he also wrote PCU. One of my favorite films ever, so props dude) and Louis Leterrier the director from the Transporter 2 (and like that is it, Transporter 2! I mean it was twice as good as Transporter 1, but still…) and then he ropes in Ed Norton and William Hurt and Aerosmith’s daughter and it is off! The movie is about as good as it looked in the trailers. If watching a big CGI abortion rip cars in two and swoon over Liv Tyler’s lips seems like a good time to you, then you might be totally down with this move. Also they gave Lou Ferrigno at least one day’s worth o work, so you can’t be that mad. The tag at the end is important if you are paying attention to the round about round up of future Avenger references which also means you are a huge geek.
