Katie Holmes Shines

In only one of two movies that I've ever seen, that Katie Holmes does a terrific job, this film is definitely a keeper! Holmes drives this piece as a young girl, trying to find her place in the world - and in her family. Dealing with the emotional stress of family and the fact that Mom and Dad don't actually live forever, she plows through the script easily, showing frailty, and humor, and love. Derek Luke and Patricia Clarkson also shine. Great job, Ms. Holmes!
