Juno

Review of Juno

Like the city in Alaska? No, MUCH better!

Amazingly acted by a teriffic cast! This movie really shines! Give it past the first twenty minutes and you will not only find one of the sharpest, wittiest, and funniest movies of the year, but you will also find characters that are endearing, struggling, and pounding out breakthrough performances! Ellen Page shines in this semi-normal story (as opposed as "Hard Candy") and makes us believe that she is a teenage girl going through the ups and downs of maturation. Olivia Thirlby establishes herself as the next Christina Ricci as an indie film veteran (also check out "Snow Angels", from Sundance earlier this year). J.K. Simmons and Allison Janney are amazing as supportive parents, that are protective, smart, and sacrificing. All in all, this movie is incredible and there really isn't a dim light in it. Each actor steps up to the plate, and makes any moviegoer laugh, cry, and glad that they went to see this movie. Two BIG thumbs up!
