Review of SleuthGreat Dialogue! The updated version of the 70's drama Slueth stars Jude Law as a young out of work actor sleeping with the wife of Michael Cain, an accomplished author. Though the plot to this movie seems quite simple I was still amazed at how many turns caught me by surprise. I must say it is the 1st movie I actually liked Jude Law in and the dialogue between the two main characters was excellent, they never missed a beat. The movie definatley moves like a play being there is little action but I didn't mind that too much at all. I would definately recomment it if there's nothing else to see but it was a little short and a little short on action for the average film goer. Posted on 11/01/07 by: quelbellrw 1 Comments

I agree, I'd give this film 2 1/2 to 3 stars as well. The dialogue was really sharp. But the end of the film had be begging for answers to some questions! Like, was the wife in on the whole game? Was the entire movie an entire game that Caine's character set up, just to write his new book? If so, was the 'affair' and his wife leaving him, all just a setup to find "The Smiling Guy" - which was obviously Jude Law's character? Really still can't keep thinking about those questions....
