Runaway review

This is a taut and remarkable story, with an amazing cast and a profound plot. Michael Adler, played with haunted charm by Aaron Stanford, is as appealing as he is tortured. The viewer cannot help but be drawn into his struggle to keep himself and his brother Dylan (Zack Savage) afloat. What at first appears to be a simple story of two brothers becomes more and more complex, with brutal flashbacks of the life Michael left behind combining with a gradually tightening tension. As the tough, yet vulnerable Carly, played by Robin Tunney, grows closer to Michael and the web of unnamed fear and paranoia spreads, the bittersweet story of a boy trying desperately to do what he thinks is right erodes into something far more complicated... and far, far more dangerous.
