Boycott Casablanca remake

This is a rumor, but apparently Madonna plans to remake Casablanca with her in the starring role, as if calling one's self Madonna was not enough proof of selfishness and arrogance. Madonna is double the age of Ingrid Bergman's character in Casablanca. They might set Casablanca, The Remix in a dance club during the modern war in Iraq. This makes me think of throwing up whilst in the throws of diarrhea.

ah, who cares. Casablanca is not even that remarkable as a 'canon' film. if anyone manages to fund and shoot what is clearly an incredibly poor idea, it promises to be a Showgirls-calibre train wreck and should make for the basis of several hilarious drinking games. i am far more irritated by the coming Nightmare on Elm Street remake.
