Juno

Review of Juno

So What if I'm Not Different I Can Still Watch a Good Movie

Juno was a great movie with an amazing soundtrack. The downside of watching a film about teen pregnancy is that I was praying that my birth control pills took during the entire movie. Juno was very quirky and heartfelt. There were some annoying aspects of the film. The whole "artsy weird" aspect of the film was shoved in the audience face the entire time, which annoyed me and detached me from the story a bit because nobody is that artsy. I loved the jargon, except during the scene where Juno tells her best friend that she is pregnant. The phrase, "what the blog" was used. I wanted to walk out of the theater right then. The artsy culture Jason Reitman was trying to create failed, because he was trying to hard to be out there, instead of realistic. Nobody uses the phrase, "what the blog," and if I ever hear anybody use it, I'm punching them in the face. Ellen Page was very cute and a much happier teen than the one she played in Hard Candy.
Juno is an overall great movie that even the non-artistic weirdos will love.
