Review of Fay Grim

So It's A Sequel

I rented Fay Grim, not knowing that it was a sequel. The fact that I hadn't see the prequel made Fay Grim's story line a bit hard to follow. I was very confused at some parts of the film, so much so I had to look up the story line online.
I really enjoyed the noir aspect of the film. Hal Hartley is an amazing director and I really enjoyed the cinematography.
The cast was not stellar, but the eye does go to Goldblum. Parker Posey was very good and again proved why I love her so much.
Overall I know I would have found the movie much less annoying and much easier to watch if I had know that it was a sequel and I had watched it's prequel. I would
