Nico and Dani
Film SynopsisIn the tradition of BEAUTIFUL THING and WILD REEDS, NICO AND DANI explores the emotional confusion of two teenage boys whose longtime friendship is tested by their diverging sexual identities. Set against the blazing sun and azure sea of a small seaside town near Barcelona, Nico and Dani are left on their own at Dani's parent's beach house. Long days at the beach, late-night dates and house parties become their daily routine. However, their fun ends abruptly when Dani's obvious attraction to Nico interferes with Nico's plan to lose his virginity, putting their friendship on the line. Winner of the prestigious Prix de Jeunesse award, at the Cannes Film Festival, NICO AND DANI is an honest, heartfelt coming-of-age story that portrays the fragile climate surrounding adolescent sexual awakening.
