Film Synopsis

From award winning director Rebecca Miller comes this poignant coming-of-age story about a young girl caught between the harsh realities of a difficult family life and the fantasy world she escapes to inside her head. Angela marked Miller's directorial debut when it premiered at Sundance in 1995. Miller uses her own signature palate to paint a world brimming with magic realism. When Angela and her six-year-old sister Ellie leave home to embark on a fantastical journey, the girls seamlessly navigate their way through a beautiful, mystical and enchanting world of Miller's creation.
